Organisation & Structure

Our Structure

Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service is structured into two areas - Service Delivery and Service Support.

Service Delivery includes fire prevention and intervention which is delivered by our Community Safety Department. The Fire Safety Department is responsible for ensuring that fire safety legislation is being adhered too and carrying out audits and inspections.

Our emergency Control Room handle all 999 calls and mobilize our appliances to emergency incidents. Our Operations Department is responsible for all our operational personnel within our 17 Fire Stations and co-ordinating our response to emergency incidents.

The Service attends a number of often complex Incidents. We are most well known for our response to fire related incidents, however, we often regularly attend incidents including road traffic collisions, water rescue incidents, and rescues from height. Our 17 Fire Stations based strategically across the Central Scotland region have operational personnel available on a whole-time and retained basis to respond to incidents.

Service Support includes all the support services required to run an efficient, effective, and learning organisation. This includes, Finance, Human Resources, Learning and Development, Information and Communications Technology, Procurement, Corporate Communications and Property Management. Our organisation structure details where each department fits within Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service.
