Water Rescue at Falls of Falloch
Crews from Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service have rescued a man (approximately 25 years of age) who fell 40 foot down a waterfall.

The incident happened at the Falls of Falloch, between the north end of Loch Lomond and Crianlarich.
The first call to the incident was received at 22:02 on Saturday stating that a person had fallen down the waterfall and not resurfaced.

The rescue operation which lasted for two hours involved, Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service, crews from Strathclyde  Fire and Rescue, the Scottish Ambulance Service and a RAF Search and Rescue helicopter from Preswick with assistance from HM coastguard.

The casualty was located by firefighters under a ledge at the back of the waterfall and rescued by fire crews using a boat. The casualty was then winched aboard the helicopter for transfer to hospital in Glasgow.
