Fire Crews have spent the night cutting away affected parts of the building to ensure that no pockets of fire remain.

The fire investigation is now underway with Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service, Central Scotland Police and a fire investigation unit from Lothian Borders Fire and Rescue Service. This unit has been brought in under a partnership arrangement between the services which shares the use of accelerant detection dogs from Central Scotland with the fire investigation unit from Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service.

Due to the location of the fire and the condition of the building the investigation could take some time to determine the cause of this fire.
