We endeavour to keep the public up to date with the latest initiatives in fire prevention as well as reporting on the services activities in fighting fires and rescues in the local community. A Press officer, based in the HQ at Maddiston, is responsible for liaison with media agencies in issuing statements related to incidents.

News reflects our activities in the community as well as regarding particular incidents. For more information see the Community Safety section of this site.

In the first instance individual incident images and reports will be published here, on the services web site.

For stories about CSFRS in the media have a look at our In the Press section. Members of the Press whose stories regarding CSFRS are available online may submit their link for consideration.

    csfrs_badge_100.gif CSFRS have a Press Officer to liaise with media organisations on a day-to-day basis. This can include giving statements and images to media organisations to highlight a particular campaign being run by the organisation or giving details on a particular incident of public interest.

    In the event of any major incident the primary role of this web site will be modified to distribute information and safety advice to the local community. Press releases can also be accessed by this rss feed .

    control.jpgSummary of calls handled by the CSFRS control room. This is a list of incidents dealt with by the services 17 fire stations. For operational reasons the majority of these will only be publicly posted when the incident is deemed closed.

    Occasionally publication of an incident might be withheld if the matter is likely to cause distress or in the event of ongoing investigation into the cause of a fire.
