A body has been found after a blaze at a holiday chalet, the fire brigade has confirmed.
Twenty firefighters from four stations were called in to tackle the fire at Carbeth, in Stirlingshire.
Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service said the chalet was well alight when they arrived at the scene, beside the B821 road about 2100 BST on Friday.
The remains, which have not yet been identified, were found after the fire was put out.
The fire brigade were alerted to the blaze by a number of phone calls from members of the public.
A fire brigade spokesman said: "During a search of the property, the remains of an unidentified body have been discovered.
"Further investigations are currently ongoing between Central Scotland Police and Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service as to the cause of the blaze and to identify the body."
