Community Risk Register
Central Scotland Strategic Co-ordinating
Group has just published its Community Risk Register. Its purpose is two-fold.
Firstly, it helps to inform the
public about the potential hazards that exist in varying degrees within
Central Scotland. It seeks to reassure our communities that in the
unlikely event they should occur, detailed plans and procedures are in place
to provide an effective response
Secondly, it ensures that the resources of partner organisations are focussed on providing the best resilience, response and
recovery capabilities possible in respect of the hazards
faced.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Lorraine, Kyle and Linzi at this terribly sad time. Those of us at the Scottish Fire Service Inspctorate who had the honour of working with John found him to be a true gentleman and a dedicated professional. The submissions in this book of condolence are a true testament to John's Fire Service career and his tireless efforts to make our communities a safer place. Our thoughts are also with the our colleagues at Central Scotland Fire and Rescue at this difficult time.
