The Service Equality and Diversity Forum provides an over arching framework for the delivery of the equality and diversity agenda throughout Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service. It meets four times a year and at other intervals by agreement.
Meetings are chaired by the Director of Service Support and in his absence, the vice chair. The forum comprises of senior management, Central Scotland Joint Fire Board representative, representation from all areas of the service, union representatives and other representatives with a special interest or knowledge either by nomination or invite.
The forum invites external guest speakers to the forum to provide an awareness of individuals and/or groups and highlight potential areas or needs the fire service should be addressing in regard to emergency response, community education, station visits and as an employer.
