We wish to convey our deep sorry, our respect and our heartfelt best wishes to Lorraine, Kyle & Linzi at the loss of their dear husband & father, John.
John was clearly a very popular and well respected individual, who had time for many and was a credit to our profession.
Once again we find ourselves mourning the tragic loss of a fellow firefighter killed in the line of duty, serving his local community.
Let us also not forget Alan Robertson, who is currently very poorly in the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow. We pray for his speedy and full recovery.
And finally, to everyone in Central Scotland Fire & Rescue, especially to those in Alloa Fire Station - this is clearly a very intense and emotionally difficult time for you all. Your loss is felt by us all. We will do all we can to help you through these darkest of times.
Ken Ross, Roddy Robertson, Gavin Barrie, John Docherty & John Duffy.

Johnny was my best friend even though I was 14,000 miles away in Oz, he was a one of the most honest and loyal guy's you would ever meet and I feel robbed that I will not see or talk with him again. We were to meet up this JUne when myself and my family are to visit Scotland. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Lorraine and the kids who are the people truly robbed of a husband and father. Johnny you will be truly missed by all who knew and loved you.
