I always found John the same way, good humoured and his genuine helpfulness with a smile and a bit of wit made work that bit easier. It was a real pleasure to have known him.

What a shock!
I do not know what to say but wanted to pass on my condolences to you all. I knew John from courses and meetings together and he was a great fun loving guy that liked a laugh and joke but really knew his stuff.
My thoughts are with you all but especially the crew involved and of course John's family.
Regards
Gary

John Noble was someone I could rely on when I worked at the Wee County News. Spoke to him like every week for 2 years. He was always so calm, quiet and gentle. Can't beleive he's gone.
What a shock.
Rest in peace, chief.
I must also say, the road they went off on seems to be the road known locally as the "Dollar Bends" - notorious for being a skidpan of a bendy backroad.
It desparately needs to be looked at in terms of speed restrictions, because I can recall writing three stories about tragic deaths on that road. One of which involved a police chase. But anyway, this is still a total shock. Big John was SO kind to me any time I needed anything, and an actual local legend for the work he carried out.
Here's hoping the others who were involved in the accident are well on their way to a full recovery.
My sincerest condolences go to John's family.
