This news has floored me. Never know what to say in circumstances like this. I got to know John in early December in Longview, Texas during the USAR training. I was safety officer during the 2 week training course there. The time we had training, fellowshiping & getting to know one another it was hard to see it end. We just didn't know that it really be "the end. We all consinder John & the rest of the fire sevice personnel across the big pond our Brothers. It was a wonderful pleasure having the opportunity to have met & known John, even it was only for a couple of weeks. Bless yall all & may God ease the hurt you all must feel.

Rest in peace.

On many of our visits with pupils from Stirlingshire schools to the Fire Station, John showed us around. He was great with the kids and took much time explaining things to them with a great sense of humour (not an easy thing to do!). We were all shocked and saddened to hear the news, our thoughts are with the Noble family and John's colleagues. You made a difference, John, rest in peace. Colin, Callum, Andy and Asma.
