As an ordinary member of the public, words cannot reflect the gratitude that I feel for the extra-ordinary individuals who put their lives at risk every day to help protect me and make my life safer. John died a true hero and will be remembered as a hero. Kenny Taylor's closing words at John's funeral were very poignant and reflected just how seriously every firefighter takes their duty and the ultimate sacrifice which John was prepared to make for others. Thank you!

Deeply saddened to hear of the loss of a true professional who touched so many lives. A man who was held in high regard, and dedicated to the Fire Service.
Deepest sympathy to Lorraine and family.
I wish a speedy recovery to Alan Robertson and the other injured crew members

A sea of black lined the way,

To take you away on that sorrowful day,

Where you have gone there is more work to be done,

To brighten the stars and push up the sun,

To start another day.

Always in our memories.

RIP

Bella (The Cook)
