There are no words that can convey the sorrow and suffering of your family and colleagues for a comrade and leader respected by all. You were tragically struck down striving to help others as always, doing a job that you were committed to, a vocation in truth. Goodbye and God bless you and your family. My thoughts are with you and your family and comrades.

John it was a priviledge to work with you at Alloa station. You were a true professional firefighter, not only did we chat about the fire brigade but we exchanged our experiences when we were repairing cars. You will be sadly missed by all who knew you.
Our thoughts are with your family at this very sad time.
Wishing a speedy recovery to all who were injured.
