It doesn't seem that long ago that a quiet young lad walked into Alloa Fire Station to begin his life as a firefighter.
Clearly from the numerous tributes, he turned out to be not only an excellent firefighter but also a gem of a person. Having known and worked with Johnny for over 20 years, I can only concur with all that has been said about him.
Life is cruel when someone so genuine and young can be taken from us.
Our thoughts are with Lorraine and the children and all other members of his family.
We hope and pray for the other crew members and wish them a full and complete recovery.

All these comments are testimony to a life well lived, a life that made a difference and will continue to make a difference because of the positive way in which John touched other peoples' lives. For his kindness, his humour, his friendship, his dedication and willingness to risk his life for others, a simple thought is Thank You.
Best wishes and sympathy to his family and his many friends.
