Accessibility

At Central Scotland Fire & Rescue Service we are committed to making our website as accessible as possible to all our users.

Our website strives, where possible, to follow the principles and guidelines set out by the WCAG 2.0 AA.

We offer the following accessibility features on our site:

  • short, simple pages with a standard style across the website
  • a search facility
  • a version designed to assist reading for visitors with dyslexia
  • resizable text

By clicking onto the BBC’s “My Web My Way” site, which was developed by the BBC and AbilityNet as a source of accessibility, you will be given information on changing not only the colours and text size and style of our website, but it will also explain how these changes can be made to affect every site you visit if you wish.

Google’s translation service has also been built in to the site and by clicking this link you can translate our site into more than 20 different languages. Central Scotland Fire & Rescue Service is not responsible for the content or accuracy of external websites.

We are always happy to receive feedback on the Accessibility and usability of our website.  If you have had any problems or any issues while using our site, we would like to hear about it. Email, phone and address details are on our Contact page. However if you would like to know a bit more about our commitment to equality and diversity please refer to our Equality & Diversity page and if you want to know more information about any of our services please refer to the relevant page.
