Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service exists to help create safer communities, to provide an effective emergency service and to protect local economic, environmental and community interests.
In delivering this we have set ourselves 3 strategic objectives.
1. We protect the community by:
- putting an ever increasing emphasis on preventing fires and life-threatening incidents focussing on those most at risk in our communities
- ensuring that those people responsible for the fire safety of their premises are meeting their obligations
- responding effectively to a broad range of emergencies, both locally and nationally.
2. We act as a good employer by:
- developing a highly skilled workforce through continuous learning and development
- ensuring that our staff operate in a safe and effective manner
- developing a culture that recognises and supports diversity.
3. We provide value for money by:
- working in partnership with other organisations
- operating an effective resources and performance management system
- providing efficient and effective support services
- striving for a continued improvement in what we do
- being transparent about how we run our organisation.
